PROFILE OF THE PARTNER:
The Port Authority of Brindisi is public body instituted by the Law 84/94, having the following tasks: 1) planning, coordination, promotion and control of port operations and of the other commercial and industrial activities carried out in the Port of Brindisi, having power of regulation, even in reference to the security towards the risks of incidents connected to these activities and to work hygiene conditions ; 2) ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of the common parts in the port ambits, including the maintenance of shallow water 3) control and commitment of the activities of the supply of general interest services to port users even not strictly connected to port operations

INTERNATIONAL-EUROPEAN-NATIONAL-LOCAL PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES ON TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS (with short description):
The Port Authority of Brindisi is actively involved in several international projects, financed by the CIP INTERREG Greece-Italy (projects: GIPSY, ADRION, SEALINK) and dedicated to the implementation of the exchange of data and information with Greek partners in order to improve the integration of the transport systems of goods and passengers from/towards Greece through the utilization of ICT instruments.

The Port Authority of Brindisi is also involved in project financed by the CIP INTERREG Greece-Italy (projects: SECINS, SECURE SEA) finalized to improve the security system of the port through the insertion of new ICT systems.

The Port Authority of Brindisi is also involved in the project ITNET, financed by the CIP INTERREG IIIA Greece-Italy, finalized to improve the policies of integration of the immigrants and also in the project ADRIAFORM, financed under the INTERREG ADRIATIC CROSS BORDER – Adriatic New Neighbourhood Programme, finalized to better the professional skills in transport and logistic sector.
