PROFILE OF THE PARTNER:
Regione Puglia is a territorial public body of Southern Italy and is on the Adriatic and Ionian Sea. It is composed by 4 geographical areas: Gargano, Tavoliere, Murge and Salento and by 5 provinces (Foggia, Bari, Brindisi, Taranto e Lecce), with a total of 4.020.707 inhabitants. The territory is prevalently flat with an extension of 19.362 squared Km and €. 59.367 millions as Gross Domestic Product.

The Councillorship for Transport carries out activities of monitoring and financial management of projects dedicated to the realization of public works related to airport system and provincial road network. It implements studies and researches on mobility and demand of services. It plans and controls works and activities of ports and inter-ports.

The Councillorship of Transport plan and manages the local public transport services; controls the standards of quality of the services of public utility and determines the minimum services of urban transport and coordinates the local policies on road safety.
