WP1: Mapping of the State of the art of the sector

Partners Responsible: Prefecture of Thesprotia, Province of Matera

In the present Report, the results of the analysis of the transport and infrastructure situation in Italy and Greece are reported. The following aspects are described:

• the European transport policy and legislation;
• the role of Transport and ICTs for the development of South-Eastern Mediterranean of Freight Centres and of Organizational Integration;
• a description of infrastructures in the Italian and Greek territories and the resulting Enterprises’ competitivity;
• a detailed analysis of transport flows and freight of the relevant territories involved in the project;
• the conclusion about future strategies of the Italian and Greek territories.
