ACTIVITIES AND RESULTS

The project intends to ensure following results:

• virtuous connections created among the actors involved (distributors, auto-transporters, producers, re- sellers, etc.) in order to create a value chain in the goods transport systems of the regions concerned;
• the development of an integrated development strategy on the transport policies at regional and trans-national level able to coordinate the different initiatives which are currently underway and for the sharing of investment and transport policies among the regions;
• to increase the flow of transportation among the regions;
• to introduce stable and innovative systems for the management of goods and logistics and for the development of integrated logics and networks which will allow to qualify existing human resources in the logistics, transport and service sectors;
• the creation of a platform which would bring together under one roof information regarding all partner regions and allow for the consultation of transport information regarding all project partners (and related entities) contributing to the operative integration.

In order to achieve the above mentioned results, the activities foresee the:

• Integration of different transport / logistics system and IT systems;
• Enhancement of the role of ports and airports;
• Improvement of competencies of public and economic operators in planning, coordinating and managing public policies pertaining transport system and inter-modal junctions;
• Development of business decision–support models and business cooperation agreement models among operators and entrepreneurs of transport value chain to favour the trans-national cooperation among the different entrepreneurial systems.
